Welcome to Writing Ethos
I traded the confines and four walls of the traditional classroom setting to teach remotely while traveling the country in my RV and writing about my journey.
Now, I am taking field trips across the country to explore the charming towns, grand cities, majestic forests, snug parks, and picturesque scenery along the way.
I want to inspire teachers to discover the freedom of teaching from anywhere!
Teach
After 15 years in a classroom, I am expanding my professional opportunities by creating curriculum content, teaching students online, and mentoring teachers new to the virtual world of education. Here, I share tips for transitioning from the classroom to remote teaching and all its benefits. I also share lessons and best practices for both in-person and online classroom teachers.
Write
I have aspired to write fiction and share my voice since childhood, but finding my voice and sharing my stories and poems has always terrified me. This remote life journey I have embarked on has given me new inspiration to find my inner JK Rowling and create something worth publishing.
Stay tuned for my work in progress.
Travel
Most people wait until retirement to travel, but the few of us who have figured out the remote work and RV lifestyle did so because we do not want to wait! This blog shares my RV and travel experiences and journeys as I roam around the country and scratch off bucket list items while stopping and enjoying each little town and grand site our beautiful country offers.
Hello!
I am a former classroom teacher, recent empty nester, newbie RVer, and aspiring writer.
After finding myself at a significantly pivotal time in my life, I had a choice to make. I faced a career challenge that forced me to contemplate my future, and I saw an opportunity.
I love teaching, but after twelve years in the public school setting, I knew that if I wanted to make a difference, I would need to leave the classroom for good.
So I did.
Now, I am teaching remotely and traveling the country.
